And More Fun With Mimi....

Here are even more pictures of Ian and Brendan with their Mimi.  Ian made French toast with Mimi's help and Brendan spent lots and lots of time in Mimi's arms.  The photo at the bottom of the page is after an afternoon of sledding.  There was an ice storm that resulted in a hard coating of ice on top of the snow.  Tammy and I headed out with the boys in a sled to drag them around the yard.  But Mimi had a better idea!  She went into my parent's garage and found one of the old sled with metal runners that we used when we were kids.  She and Ian headed up to the top of the hill by the MacDonald's house and ZOOOM! they flew down the hill!  I took a try and was actually a bit scared because we went so fast.  It brought me right back to my childhood...  we must have slid down that hill a thousand times and Tammy was always looking for ways to make it a little more adventurous and a little more scary!
Oh!  That reminds me.  I don't have any pictures but one of the memorable events from our time in Gilford was a trip to Gunstock to go tubing.  Stephen, Tammy, Ian and I all went one morning and had a blast!  I wasn't too sure how Ian would do with it.  Particularly when we got there and they said that he had to go in his own tube.  Well, it turns out that I had nothing to worry about - the kid LOVED it!  The first trip down I was truly a bit frightened and wondered if I was being a bit irresponsible as a mother to take my toddler down such a fast, steep ride.  But, in the midst of these thoughts as we were careening down the slope I looked over at Ian (we were all in separate tubes but held on to each other as we slid down the slope) and he had a smile on his face that stretched from ear to ear!  And, as soon as we stopped sliding he said, "Let's do it again!"  And so we did...  for an hour and a half!
