I caught this shot of them before Stephen headed to work one day. It's been a bit of an adjustment for everyone to go from having Daddy home all of the time to Daddy working. Fortunately though things for my return to work have been a bit delayed so instead of starting the week after Stephen started I am likely going to start in July. I initially was frustrated by this change of plans but now that summer has descended upon us I really can't complain too loudly about all the time I have to enjoy the sunshine! In the mean time I have been cherishing my time with Ian and Brendan. I also have been taking advantage of my freedom by connecting with more and more people on the island. I am amazed by how many wonderful people I meet and how many new friends I have made in just these past few months. There's a fun group of mom's who get together on Friday mornings and go hiking or hang out on a beach with their little ones. Then there are two women (also with young kids) who go biking at 4:30am and invited me along (where else in the world would I find someone else crazy enough to want to bike at that hour!?!). There's a wonderful Mom I met at the park who will be our neighbor when we live in our new home. And then there the woman who carried Brendan off of the plane that night and coincidentally lives in Bar Harbor and has two children of her own. And, of course our current neighbors who have been so amazingly helpful in our move to the island. I feel so fortunate to have so many new friends!
