One of the benefits of living next to a national park that attracts 2 million visitors a year is that there is so much to do in the summer. We appreciate living on the "quiet side of the island" but it's also fun to drive into downtown Bar Harbor and enjoy all the tourist activities. We did this last month when Grammy and Papa came to visit. The boys had a blast eating chocolate chip pancakes and ice cream but their favorite activity was rolling down the grassy hill by the waterfront.
