It's raining again! We have been stuck inside the house for the past few days which means lots of creative ideas for keeping Ian busy. It's a bit of a challenge but we have taken trips to the library and swimming pool. Ian LOVES to swim and will jump off the edge of the pool by himself! He also LOVES books and was very excited about the "new" books he brought home from the library. The other night he even went to bed on his own because he had a new book and wanted to read it in his bed. It was one of the moments when you realize that your child is not going to need you forever... When I asked Ian if he wanted Mommy or Daddy to read his book and he said, "Ian, read self" and proceeded to wander off to his bedroom by himself we sat stunned on the couch - not really knowing what to do! Some nights it seems like a chore to get Ian to bed, but the other night I realized that this won't last forever and we need to cherish these precious moments!
Here are a few photos from our days of cabin fever. Ian and Miles were waiting for breakfast the other morning. Miles has held his bowl in his mouth for years - Ian apparently felt like it was a good idea too!
Brendan is enjoying the wrap and even enjoyed some forward facing time the other day as I made dinner...Ian is an expert with his Legos. Here's a Lego Robot he made...
