On November 1st Stephen completed his NHSC service. After 10 years of being tied to the government it was a fabulous day when he finally became free of the obligation. Ian, Brendan and I felt a party was in order so we went to the dollar store and purchased party hats and decorations and when Daddy walked in we yelled, "Surprise!" He was definitely surprised and quite happy. I will finish my service on December 20th, the day before we fly back to New England to start the next chapter of our lives.
