Father's day was super special, we took Stephen and my Dad out to breakfast and had a lovely day together. I truly have the fortune of having two of the most amazing men in the world as my husband and father. It was wonderful being able to celebrate Stephen's first father's day with him - he is such an amazing man - Ian is so lucky to have him as his Daddy and I'm so lucky to have him as my husband. I can't begin to express how supportive and wonderful he has been these past 4 1/2 months. From those first early weeks when Ian was awakening every few hours to feed, through all of the dirty diapers, managing Ian's rare fussy moments and just taking him from my arms when he knows that I'm really too tired and just need a break - he's been there for me. He's definitely the best swaddler and can put Ian to sleep in a second - but most importantly is he knows a million and one ways to make Ian smile and laugh. Ahhh - the sound of Ian laughing in his daddy's arm is so precious.
It was also super special to have my Dad here - to celebrate his 37th time being a Dad and his first time being a Grandpa on Fathers' day. He has always been the most wonderful and supportive Dad and I am so touched to see Ian having a chance to share in his wonderful love and joy. We are truly blessed.
