Happy Kids

Ian tried swinging a bat for the first time a few days ago.  And, he was GREAT!  He had a blast hitting the ball across the yard.  Between Brendan's love of any sort of ball and now Ian's love of batting, I'm seeing many, many hours of watching youth sports in my future!

Brendan has always loved rolling in the grass and continues to find such joy in simply lying in a field.  I can't wait to have grass at our house (I planted the lawn three days ago so hopefully we will have some shoots popping through soon!)  I which I could include a sound track of Brendan's giggles of delight when he was lying there.  I also wish I had a recording of him handing me one of the daisies he picked saying, "Flower, you, Mommy."  There's nothing more special than when my boys pick me flowers or bring me other treasures such as special rocks or leaves they have found.  It just melts my heart.
