Several weeks ago Ian and I planted a bunch of seeds in the unused planter box in our back yard. It is truly an experiment as I have a hard time keeping house plants alive for any length of time but so far we are doing ok. We have carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, broccoli and sugar snap peas all peeking up out of the earth. I am hoping that I learn just enough to start a bigger garden next summer on our new land (it looks like we will be land owners by 5pm on Friday!)
