July Fourth Running Fun!

I ran the "Around MDI Relay" today. To be exact, I ran leg eight which was 6.7 miles... hilly miles.  It may not have been the wisest decision I've made -  given that the boys and I just were diagnosed with strep throat yesterday, but man was it fun!  I was told to "wear something crazy."  I took this very seriously and dug out one of my old dance recital costumes that Mom and Dad had saved for all of these years.   I hung on to the costumes, never really anticipating a time when I might wear one, but today was the perfect occasion!  Or so I thought until I showed up at the start of my leg to find a dozen or so very seriously dressed runners.   Um... What the heck!?!   I didn't turn around but proudly wore my circa 1989 attire and I finished... Winning best costume for 2013.

And, just to prove that I wasn't the only crazy out there, this is a picture of Josh (wearing dress and pink wig) handing off the Barbie doll baton to me.
