We had such a great time at camp last week. The boys had a blast! They loved jumpin off the dock and swimming all over the place. Brendan won the award for most jumps, in fact I had a hard time keeping him out of the water. On our first morning we walked down to the dock to see the lake. I had Brendan's hand the entire time but for a brief nanosecond I let to and before I could blink he was trying to jump in the lake! No life jacket. Completely clothed! I was thankful to have fast reflexes and literally caught him midair! After that we had a policy that Brendan wasn't allowed on the dock without a life jacket. But even so, on our last morning I put the puddle jumper over his PJ's because it was still pretty cool and definitely not swimming time yet but that didn't stop Brendan! He jumped in anyway. What a goofball!
Ian took his first solo canoe trips around the cove and did incredibly well amnuevering the canoe. He still needed a few rescue tows back to the dock but only to save him from being swept down the lake by the wind.
There were also plenty is water fun fights, bubbles, stories, guitar playing, marshmallows and campfire and sparklers too! And the best thing is that we get to go back in just a few short weeks and this time Stephen will be with us!
