We celebrated my father's 70th Birthday while I was home. It's still hard for me to believe that he is 70... I would say that most people who know him well would agree that he doesn't act like a 70 year old! We started the day with a 12 mile bike ride... not bad considering neither of us has been biking at all over the past several months. We enjoyed a relaxing day and then Paula and David came down to join us for dinner. Paula brought a cake which she had Ian help her decorate. He had a blast but left the cake with a few little finger marks where the icing was snitched!
Ian now has a good understanding of what a birthday is. At least in his little brain I think that birthday is a synonym for CAKE! The nice thing about this is that he doesn't seem to care who's birthday it is... Since all birthdays involve CAKE! Lucky for him we have a few more birthdays on the horizon :)
