As most of you will likely remember, I had a wonderful time painting a mural on Ian's bedroom wall when he was still in my tummy. Well, within days of finding out that I was pregnant with Sesame I had a very clear idea of what the next mural was going to be... a room full of happy sea creatures! I've been having a wonderful time painting a smiling shark, sea turtle, octopus, seahorse, star fish, dolphin and crab on the walls. The sea creatures are swimming in a kelp forest with a myriad of tropical fish by their sides. Every creature has big eyes and a huge smile on its face :) Ian has loved watching the animals form on the walls of his "new room" (we are planning to have him share the new room with Sesame and turn his old room into the guest room). His ocean vocabulary is quite advanced, he knows the names of each of the animals and can even say "SCUBA." This has won a special place in Stephen's heart!
When I'm painting he loves to be with me and now has taken to sitting in his chair and painting on his own. Having him join me makes the painting even more fun!
