weather, lots of time outside and no calls to go to the hospital! Ian
and I worked hard to make it a special day for Stephen. We started
the day with brunch on the lawn. Ian helped beat the eggs for our
omelets and supervised the kitchen as breakfast was prepared. We then
settled in for naps and took a lovely walk on the beach afterwards. I
forgot to bring my camera which was too bad because there would have
been some wonderful shots of Ian and his Daddy collecting stones
together. Ian also had fun imitating stephen when he was lying down on
his back on the sand. The two of them are so cute together. In the
past week Ian has shifted some from being totally attached to me all
if the time to have a definite preference for his Daddy much of the
time. I love seeing their bond grow and strengthen... As I've said
a hundred times before, nothing makes my heart swell more than seeing
the two of them so happy together. We enjoyed a simple dinner on the
deck and Ian helped me make Ghiradelli chocolate brownies for
dessert... He quickly discovered that the best part is tasting the
batter!
