Fun with blocks and paper!

One of ian's favorite toys are two wooden sticks we use to brace our
slider door closed. For nearly three months now Ian has enjoyed
banging those two sticks together and waving them in the air. I
finally ordered him a set of real blocks and was excited to see him
play with them when they arrived today. I dumped them out on the rug
in the family room and proceeded to go and get myself some dinner.
When I returned a few minutes later to check on my
Little man I found him happily sitting IN the box they all came in!
It was too cute! He apparently decided that he liked sitting in the
box because he got out to get a block butthen crawled right back in!

And, yesterday we arrived home to find a package on our doorstep from
our good friends Paul and Colleen. Inside were several gifts, one of
which was addressed to Ian. Ian did a little gift opening at Christmas
but was super exuberant. Well, apparently he just needed some
practice because he tore into that packaging and kept tearing it into
little bits for nearly 20 minutes! It is so fun to come home each
night and watch my little entertainer. He keeps me laughing and
smiling!
