The Terrific Traveler

Ian can now say he is a well traveled baby. In his short 10 weeks of life he has visited 5 states, taken 5 flights and traveled well over 6,000 miles. We just returned from a whirlwind trip to see family and friends on the east coast. First we flew to Florida where we saw Stephen's parents, sisters and brother, cousin and nieces as well as my Grandmother. Then we flew up to New Hampshire and visited with my parents and sister and saw lots of dear old friends. Ian seemed to love every minute of it. He appreciated his parents getting him the "premier" baby plane ticket which included: on-demand meal service (warm breast milk); personalized, live entertainment (the undivided attention of two dedicated travel companions) and a fully reclining seat (on either of our laps)... Now that's the way to travel! However I think he would agree that the highlight of his trip wasn't the fancy plane travel but being cuddled and cared for by so many loving people. I'm afraid that now that we are back home and he sometimes has to sit in his swing while we are attending to other matters he feels quite neglected and is rather vocal about wanting to be held.
Here are some pictures of all of the fun things we did and wonderful people we saw...

Ian had a blast at the playground with Grandpa - he went on the swings, teeter-totter, jungle gym...
and even the slide!

Ian met Holly, Christy's best friend since high school

He also met Stephen's dear friend Paul

He was sad when we told him it was time to go home...
But Mommy knew that he needed some rest...
